TimeZoneOne was awarded the Century Tile account in April 2011. The creative pitch required television commercial concepts as well as general retail marketing support.

“Century Tile has incredible history in the Chicago area, but many customers are not aware they also have a huge range of the latest trends in tile and flooring. So that was the business challenge we focused on,” says Tim Chapman, TimeZoneOne Art Director.

“We addressed this perception issue by creating a character called ‘Mrs C’ who is an older lady with unexpectedly modern attitudes. We were also charged with creating a commercial that was highly memorable.”

Hamish McDonald, TimeZoneOne Account Director runs the Century Tile account, and says “The focus group results were terrific with 96% of people saying the spot was highly memorable. More importantly the commercial is driving strong sales, which is great news, especially as the economy is still tough for ‘home improvement’ retailers.”

Century Tile is a large tile and flooring retailer in Chicagoland. They have been in Chicago for 60 years and have 12 retail locations.
