kiwi christmas
While many living in the Northern Hemisphere enjoy a white Christmas, it is something that New Zealanders don’t get to see, at least not when they are at home. After all, Christmas takes place in summer in New Zealand. But it’s still one great holiday season for all Kiwis, with some marked differences, of course.
Christmas […]

john hancock observatory - a job well done!!
The John Hancock Center is a 100-story, multi-use building, recognized around the world for its distinctive architecture, prestigious location and presence on Chicago’s skyline. When completed in 1969, it was the tallest building in the world outside New York City. It is the third-tallest skyscraper in Chicago and the fifth-tallest in the United States, after […]

cal bears make emerald bowl
TimeZoneOne has been working extensively with Cal Berkeley to create marketing collateral around the soon to be unveiled Endowment Seating Program. As such, we Zoners here in America took lively interest in the fortunes of the University’s Cal Bears football team. The Cal Bears were recently confirmed as Pac 10 representatives for the Emerald Bowl.

gettin old
As 35 approached in the far distance, I viewed it with apprehension and, let’s face it, horror.
I looked back at 30 and remembered actually being excited about turning 30. For me, that was a statement: ‘I’m a REAL grown-up now. You can take me seriously. I am a force to be reckoned with.’
But something happened […]

nhra photo shoot
I thought I’d provide another scintillating account of the life of a Project Manager and the exciting world of the location photo shoot. The attached video shows the fascinating highs and lows of this creative process – we laughed, we cried, we dozed off…
The resulting collateral from this photo shoot looks fantastic (as you can […]

the wire: the best tv show ever…
I am a big fan of The Wire and I’d go so far to say it’s the best TV show ever. It may be a little sadistic on my part, but the program leaves me drained and disturbed at the end of an episode thanks to the complexity of its multiple storylines and the number […]

TimeZoneOne’s got 80’s talent
The first season of TimeZoneOne’s Got 80’s Talent debuted without too much hype in Auckland last week.
The show seeks to re-discover the best talent from the 80’s through a series of musical auditions. The format features four judges (all travelled to Auckland) who give critiques of the contestants’ performances.
Judge Nigel Foley stirred up quite a […]

what is climate?
I have never really understood the finer points of the world’s climate. Living in Chicago has exposed me to an extreme climate I never knew existed. In the summer it gets hot 95F (35C), in the winter it gets cold -10F (-24C).
What is our climate system?
Climate is the average weather usually taken over a […]

crocs next top model
As the children take the catwalk on Crocs Spring Summer photo shoot. I have noticed what other aspiring photographers of children need to do to capture their star child poser.
DO: Feed them!
A hungry child cry’s a lot. What is unusual is it was 9:30am, so breakfast can’t have been long ago.
DONT: Feed them too much […]

crocs photoshoot spring summer 09…
We are on location in sunny south Florida, and it’s a balmy 75 degrees. Today is pre-production, meaning we are looking at wardrobe options and visiting locations.
Most of the ducks are lining up except for the fact we don’t have any shoes to photograph yet!
Cross your fingers that the Fedex driver doesn’t get distracted by […]
