ronald mcdonald house mini golf challenge
Posted by timezoneone
T’was a dark an’ stormy evenin’ fer th’ Ronald Mcdonald House mini golf challenge at Pirates Island Adventure Golf in Christchurch. Five swarthy sea dogs (plus two stowaways) from the good ship TimeZoneOne manned the putters as the officials gave the nod and play was afoot.
Cap’n Brody Golddigger (Tim Chapman) set the pace with a couple of early pars and a hole in one on the 3rd. Other stand-outs included Hackin’ Clive Bones (Rob ‘waterhazard’ MacDonald) who deftly found the rough on the 9th but built on some solid birdies with classic putter play. “Scurv-aceous” Lindsey Dawkins (Maria McDonald), who had stowed her husband Nick and daughter Eveie in the aft cabin, played to her strengths on the distance putt and amateur swinger and lensman Jelly Legs Laszlo (Mark Cornellison) took to the field with the grit and determination necessary for golf played on a listing ship.
Avast! As the evening drew on the cowardly crew were forced to jumped ship only to later discover that their nimble work with the putter (and easy going nature with the scorecard) had landed them the booty.
