Our recently appointed Prime Minister of New Zealand – John Key, broke his arm when he tripped and fell on stairs leaving the stage at a Chinese New Year celebration on Saturday. He then proceeded to shake hands with 120 touch rugby players before receiving medical treatment for his arm which was broken in two places. His arm is in a temporary cast, which runs right up to below his armpit.

I don’t know about you, but I have had my fair share of broken arms and in my experience having an x-ray is painful enough let alone shaking 120 rugby players hands in that state. I for one an impressed. He is obviously taking his new role and responsibilities seriously and is helping maintain our tough kiwi image!
