Richo’s WeddingI was on hand to celebrate the wedding of Richo “Duckles” McDonald and Lori “Lorry” Melching.  I did not witness any of the behind the scenes action – but everything seemed to go very smoothly – the groom showed up, the bride showed up and both said “I do”.  As far as weddings go, I don’t think you could get much better.  The location was picturesque, the booze was free flowing and the dance floor provided the necessary silkiness for back spins and dolphin dives (the Worm to our American readers).

The days leading up to the wedding had been a whirlwind of activity blended with appropriate amounts of alcohol consumption (the liver is an evil organ and deserves to be punished).  Surf trips, golf outings and rehearsal dinners were all successfully undertaken.  Golf was certainly not the winner on the day as far as my game was concerned – my excuse is I was letting the client win as I was partnered with Ed Wunsch from Crocs, who can certainly rip the cover off the ball.

As I now sit back in the office nursing my hang-over and extremely pink sunburn, I would like to offer once again my sincere congratulations to the new McDonald clan (or is it the McDonald-Melching clan?  All the cool kids seem to be hyphenating these days…)
