This week the lone Wellington Zoner is your Blogger. For Zoners who have only meet me once or twice on a flying visit to the beautiful garden city, I’m the finance guy, Rich and Tatts’ business partner. I went to High school with Rich in the 80s where we went surfing and chased girls together. I caught my girl Anna 6 years ago and we have 2 girls Ruba 4 and Rose 2. I run a publishing business called Line 2 Line in Wellington.

One of the projects I’m working on is my next financial meeting in Christchurch. The purpose of this meeting is to involve the whole team in the performance of the business and increase our personal financial understanding. This is important in achieving better results for our clients, our business and developing our team.

I love finance, and believe that greater understanding of how money works can greatly enhance people’s lives. Lack of understanding money can clause huge stress in our lives and is the major reason for relationship breakdowns.

One of the challenges I face is how do I make this meeting fun? Tatts has come up with some great ideas of creating a team investment game, inviting speakers to come and talk to us about mortgages and investment property, playing online financial games, creating a financial quiz and discussing the current financial news eg. why are so many finance company’s going under?
